Got blown back plenty of times while tryna swerve that meteor shower, but I can finally rest easy having made it back under 1:20. And with that, this series been a refreshing throwback as this is the game that got me into speedrunning, so thanks for tuning into this wild ride o/

Ever since the release of QSS Restoration, I’ve been interested in giving Unleashed physics a spin. The freestyle drift and stomp momentum makes way for fast movement options that make courses like this even more fun, and the Unleashed HUD is also pretty convenient for gauging speed. I'm 7 years late but when you hold the analog stick in the beginning of m speed at a slight point do you have to keep holding it like that when you actually do the m speed?
That’s right, the stick must be held in place the entire time to keep M-speed activated

Oh my god, i can't wait to do M-Speed on this.
WARNING: In some levels you can trigger a Break Jump Glitch (BJG) which it could be triggered by M-Speed, it causes you to gain even more speed in the air, sometimes it will show a black screen for getting out of bounds, or it will crash the game with a small chance to make a static or earrape sound.

Nah there’s only 4 Windmill Isle Acts in Unleashed, this is a fully original level
Do you think m-speed will be fully patched out of sonic x shadow generations? I imagine they would tweak the hedgehog engine again.
Doesn’t seem like the base game has been changed that much so it’ll probably still work, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s patched out

Ayy thanks! Funny enough I actually gave up on that pipe skip until I randomly started landing it on sloppy runs, wasn’t as painful after finally getting the timing kinda consistent^^;
0:37 Caught me off guard with the invisible landing. Can you pull off M-speed there and save a second or two?
Yeah it’s definitely possible to M-speed from the rail to the end to save time, may try it whenever I can get the rest of that route more consistent cuz that pipe boost was killing me bruh
0:15 Do you have any idea how unresponsive this Light Speed Dash part is? I can mash the button just to do the Light Speed Dash and it won't work often. Does it depend if I use a keyboard or a controller? I haven't the slightest idea. Also, a really interesting Level Clear music you got there. It feels like it's from the Doom level (from Shadow the Hedgehog), but it's actually not, is it?
That light speed dash has been pretty consistent for me with controllers, never found mashing that effective. But if you approach it from a good angle then it’s much easier than getting thrown into it from those dash rings on the intended route. Nice catch by the way! It’s actually Stolen Valley Act 1 from Sonic Forces Overclocked, used it for the results since it had that same energy as that Doom track used in the run

I wonder if m-speed will work in Sonic X Shadow Generations (including other speedrun glitches)
Seems like base Generations is mostly unchanged so they’ll probably still work, but there’s still a good chance that some exploits have been patched
0:20 blew my mind because I knew about the glitch before but never like that
